One of the Best
David Olney is one of the best songwriter/story tellers you have ever heard. A very perceptive man with a quick wit, an eye for detail and the odd, unsuspected angle, and he's one hell of a guitar player.
He was the first artist to perform at the last record store I worked in. I thought he was cool, he let me tape the show, and the rest is history. We run into each other around town and he never fails to chat and he always has something insightful to say.
He's coming out with a new record, Migration. The record release show is this Thurs (4/18) at the Basement. It's a cheap ($5), early (7pm) show, so bring a friend.
