The Belcourt is just kickin' my ass. Nashville is so fortunate to have a theater like this. This past week I saw the newly remastered Godzilla from 1954 and without Raymond Burr.
Look at what's coming up over the next couple weeks or so:
Look at what's coming up over the next couple weeks or so:
- Tom Dowd & The Language of Music (the producer's producer, he's responsible for more of my favorite music than I care to think about)
- The Corporation (one showing only - an exposé of corporate power)
- Once Upon A Time in the West - (Sergio Leone masterpiece with Bronson and Henry Fonda)
- High Noon (Arguably the best Western ever made)
- Maria Full of Grace ("...unfolds with a simplicity that's as breathtaking as its inevitability is harrowing")
- Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence ("...humans have forgotten they are human." The animation in this looks spectacular)
- La Dolce Vita (Fellini & Anita Ekberg, what more do you need?)
There's some music coming as well as art in the lobby. What an awesome movie theater!
