The reason I went to concerts

TP on AB:The Life & Times of Tom Powell

I went to high school with TP's sons. His youngest, Kevin, remains one of my best friends. Kevin, David (another friend) and I went to, what seemed like every concert that came to Nashville from 1985-1989 or so. We did this because Tom Powell knows every owner of every entertainment venue in the world (or so it seems).

He's a huge guy with an oversized voice. He's also the nicest guy and funny too...traits he passed on to all of his kids.
