Get out the vote
Yesterday we voted to raise sales tax in order to pay for schools and something about helping seniors...
We have no income tax which is cool and all but we have an extremely high sales tax 9.275% if I remember correctly. Anybody with sense realizes that sales tax hurts poor folks more than any other group and more than any other tax. You don't qualify for tax breaks and you pay this tax on food and clothing and utilities.
TN struggles just like every other gov't to properly use tax money but come on, don't we need to reconsider our tax code in general?
