God DAMN IT! Another one gone!

Gatemouth's home in Slidell, LA, a bedroom community of New Orleans, was destroyed by Katrina, Rick Cady (his booking agent) said.

"He was completely devastated," Cady said. "I'm sure he was heartbroken, both literally and figuratively. He evacuated successfully before the hurricane hit, but I'm sure it weighed heavily on his soul."

I'm sure he was also hurt by Vassar's death. I saw a Vassar show in New Orleans once...Vassar was borrowing Gate's band and then about 1/2 through the show Gate came out and played fiddle for about 45min...he didn't come with any instrument so he borrowed Vassar's.
